My name is Michelle Barrell. I graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Laws in 1986 and was admitted to the New Zealand Bar as a Barrister & Solicitor in that same year.
My professional life started in Sydney after I moved there after admission. I initially practiced as an employee for several legal firms specialising in criminal, family and general litigation before setting up my own sole practice.
